The primer set

Implementation primer

The primer set used to create a load sufficient thickness called "white" layers. But before that, it is sometimes necessary to recap, shaping elements missing sculptures, to do this, we make a paste called "Big White" that is applied with a chisel.

The number of white depends on the desired final appearance, in fact, the next step requires reparure desired thickness more or less important depending on the quality of the sculpture, the depth of the etched (remodeling) and dependent on the style of object.

To do this, a mixture of rabbit-skin glue, but with a higher proportion of calcium carbonate which is applied on the surfaces by brush but still cooler than the sizing is also used.

The drying time between each step are significant, several days are required for implementing all finishes.

The primer is maintained in the liquid state in a water bath, the installation should be done in a warm atmosphere and at constant temperature.

We apply the primer with a brush by typing not pasting funds and more lining the parts to repair the parts united.

The first layer is clear enough, the following layers are thicker, the latter is smoothed with a brush dipped in warm water and / or fingers. Then is sanded with very fine sandpaper.
